First responders from the Chattanooga police and fire departments were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters were at the crash site for approximately two hours, according to Rogers.
The press release reports that the reason for the crash was an engine issue.
In the aftermath of the crash, the fire department released a video showing the extent of the damage. The small plane is sideways with one wing heavily damaged. The front of the plane appears to be completely destroyed.
The plane’s cockpit is also destroyed. Firefighters cut pieces of metal and removed a portion of the plane to free one of the passengers, according to the press release.
