Amateur footage shows the moment the Shenyang J-15 aircraft begins to plummet to the ground in a residential area in southern Hainan near Hong Kong, the Telegraph reports.
The plane crashes into a residential area, while in the background an explosion is heard and fire rises into the sky.
The pilot likely ejected in time, as he is seen parachuting not far from where the crash occurred.
The Chinese military has announced that no one was injured in the plane crash – while amateur footage has been widely shared on social media. /Telegraph/
