A MiG-21 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Budgam, around 25 km southwest of Srinagar, on Monday morning with the pilot managing to eject safely ahead of the crash.
“One MiG-21 (Bison) aircraft of IAF crashed at Budgam in J&K at 11am. The pilot got airborne from Srinagar Air Base on a routine training sortie and ejected,” a Srinagar-based defence spokesperson said in a statement.
